Fair Lawn Public School District (03-1450)

Fair Lawn Public School District

The Fair Lawn Report Card contains vital information about school environment, student performance indicators, staff, and district finances in a statistical and comparative basis.

Our curriculum supports high level thinking and problem solving skills which require all students to develop the reading and writing abilities that are essential to success. To this end, our rigorous elementary and middle school curriculum provides challenging opportunities for academic excellence. The high school program offers students a wide range of courses, from an abundance of college preparatory, honors, and advanced placement courses and concurrent college enrollment opportunities for students to follow their particular interests, while receiving college credits.

The narrative provided by each building principal summarizes the day-to-day atmosphere, culture, and beliefs of his or her school. These comments provide insight into the achievements and hard work of our elementary, middle and high schools in developing a quality education for every child.

W.B. Yeats said, “Education is not the filling of a pail, but the lighting of a fire”. While each of our accomplishments, including test scores and ranking, is important, we must never lose sight of the equally important accomplishments and successes (large and small) that take place every day in each of our schools. The Fair Lawn Public Schools and the community in which we thrive truly believe that “The Leaders of Tomorrow Attend Fair Lawn Schools Today.”

It is an honor to serve as your Superintendent of Schools.
