Hainesport Township School District (05-1910)

Hainesport Township School District

The Hainesport Township School District is a one-school district serving pre-kindergarten through eighth grade, housing approximately 630 students. Hainesport students are offered comprehensive academic programs that focus on the (4) core content areas: English Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies and Science. The students also receive instruction in the Visual Performing Arts, Comprehensive Physical Education and Health, as well as Library/Media. All stakeholders of the Hainesport Township School District share the same common goal, caring about each and every student. With that goal in mind, I am proud to announce the implementation of full-day kindergarten. The PTO and Hainesport Education Foundation also serve to greatly enhance our students’ educational experiences.
The District has implemented a 1:1 ChromeBook Initiative in grades 3-8 to meet the 21st century needs of students, teachers, and parents alike. Students are learning the essential skills that will help them in their social lives and academic lives. Teachers use this initiative to deliver their curriculum and instruction in an even more efficient and engaging way . Parents have the opportunity to become more in tune with how technology affects their family and keep in touch with their son or daughter's learning on a daily basis.

The District has fully implemented Google Apps for Education (GAFE). It is an integrated communication and collaboration solution, hosted by Google and managed by Hainesport. GAFE provides the ability for students, faculty and staff to communicate, store files and collaborate on documents, spreadsheets, and presentations in real time from school, work, or home, all within a secure “closed campus” online environment.

Hainesport Township School District has implemented a Positive Behavior Support in Schools (PBSIS) Initiative. The purpose of this initiative is to help our school create a positive learning environment that will lead to decreased discipline problems and increased opportunities for student learning, with a theme of “Soaring to Success.”

Through a partnership with Rowan University, the Hainesport School has become a Professional Development School (PDS). The focus is on professional preparation of teacher candidates, faculty development, inquiry directed at the improvement of practice, and enhanced student learning. A PDS is an environment in which university students, faculty liaisons, classroom teachers, and students in the school can engage in long-term, on-going research-based initiatives that benefit all members in the learning community.

The Hainesport Township School District is constantly identifying opportunities during these challenging times and focus all resources toward the achievement of our students for future success in the global society.
