Located in Hunterdon County New Jersey, Lebanon Borough is a Prekindergarten through sixth grade elementary school that offers students a nurturing and academically challenging environment. One of the many attributes of the school is the small class size which affords students the optimal student- teacher ratio, essential for student success in the elementary setting. Students receive personalized instruction from highly qualified, dedicated, and enthusiastic staff members.

The entire staff is committed to providing students with many quality educational experiences. Prekindergarten through sixth grade students receive an academically challenging curriculum aligned with the State of New Jersey’s Student Learning Standards in Language Arts, Mathematics, Social Studies, and Science as well as in Art, Music, Physical Education and Health, and Technology, . A full range of educational services that include basic skills instruction and opportunities for enrichment are also provided to students. The enrichment program offers students opportunities to develop thinking and reasoning strategies to become sophisticated decision-makers.

In addition to the core curriculum and enrichment program, Lebanon Borough School offers students opportunities to expand and explore their interests through after school clubs such as the Art Club, Reading Olympics, and intramural sports. They also have opportunities to display their artistic talents through activities such as Instrumental Recitals and Art displays at the county library, and performances at our school. The Lebanon Borough School’s Student Council further enhances the principle of civic life and citizenship through a variety of programs and activities.

The district and school has made a commitment to using technology to enhance teaching and learning. Classrooms are outfitted with SmartBoards, laptop computers, and the latest technology. Each student is assigned a personal Ipad for his or her use at school. The use of this technology allows teachers to develop interactive and motivating lessons for students. Our elementary children are developing skills that they need to thrive in an evolving technological world driven by innovation and change.

Lebanon Borough School District continues its commitment to professional development opportunities for teachers to address curricular matters by participating in full and half day in-service workshops scheduled throughout the school year. Faculty members are also offered opportunities for additional workshops and seminars to assist them become optimal teachers and mentors for our children. Our character education program prepares children for the challenges they will face growing up in the 21st century.

The excellent support from our active PTA provides rewarding educational experiences for our students, including author visits, book fairs, student and faculty lunches, student crafts activities, our field day program, after school family programs, mini- grants to staff, and assembly programs.

Lebanon Borough School with an enrollment of approximately one-hundred students is an ideal place for children to grow. Our small school setting develops the whole child in an atmosphere that encourages a sense of pride, ownership, and high involvement.
