Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Schools School District

The Manalapan Englishtown Regional School District is rich in history and tradition. Our purpose can be summarized by the district’s vision statement, “To provide an outstanding education that challenges all learners in a safe secure environment.” This vision has contributed to two of our schools receiving the prestigious New Jersey “Star School” designation, a third recognized for a statewide “Best Practice” in Science and the district being recognized for “Best Practice” in inclusive education.

Since incorporating into a regional district in 1963, we have grown and currently educate approximately five thousand students in eight schools. In September of 2006, the addition to the Manalapan Englishtown Middle School was opened and in September of 2007 the John I. Dawes Early Learning Center opened its doors as the district initiated a new innovative program to address early primary learning. In September of 2009, the district was restructured to create five neighborhood schools for grades 1 through 5, as well as establish the Sixth Grade Center at Pine Brook School. In September of 2014, the district implemented full day kindergarten which extended the grade range in three of our neighborhood schools to K through 5.

While the vast array of programs, professional development and innovative instruction that defines the educational experiences in the Manalapan-Englishtown Regional Schools are too numerous to list or describe, our Digital Conversion, which is in its fifth year has transformed instruction in our secondary buildings into a 21st century learning environment. Education is more than awards, programs and new buildings. It is defined by the dedication and training of the teachers and administration. The professional staff is epitomized by the highly trained dedicated teachers who truly care about the education of their students. Teachers, administrators, students and parents as well as the communities of Manalapan Township and the Borough of Englishtown all share a common goal, to provide an excellent education to all of our children.
