RED BANK REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL

Red Bank Regional High School is a comprehensive and diverse secondary school that offers a multitude of rigorous academic and extra-curricular programs for the student body which numbers 1,236. The constituent sending districts include Little Silver, Red Bank Borough and Shrewsbury. The district also accepts students on a tuition basis who may be interested in one of our specialized academies of study.
Most unique about the high school are these academies of specialized study: the Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, Academy of Information Technology, Academy of Pre-engineering, Academy of Finance and Early Childhood Education. Other unique program offerings also include our Freshman Academy and our International Baccalaureate Diploma program.

Students may also select an area of focus for their studies. Current choices include the aforementioned academies in addition to the Academy of Sports Medicine. Multiple opportunities exist for students to earn college credit through Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate and dual credit coursework.

With a 97% graduation rate and an 89% college placement rate, Red Bank Regional High School is committed to high academic standards for all students. RBR requires 140 credits for graduation, 20 credits more than the state requirement. As the nation renews its focus on college and career readiness, Red Bank Regional reaffirms its commitment to the development of 21st century learners.

Dedicated to professional development for the faculty, the district has provided training for the teaching staff in the areas of student engagement, co-teaching, student assessment methodology and the effective use of technology in classroom instruction.

The administration embraces the concept of shared decision making and continually involves parents, students, faculty and staff in research and planning. Operations, curriculum, policies, procedures and facilities are key areas involving stakeholder participation.

Students benefit from peer and faculty mentoring programs as well as a summer enrichment program for incoming freshmen, focusing on the skills necessary for academic success. Upperclassmen may access a variety of summer enrichment courses. These multifaceted blended learning programs include honors, Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB) and our pre-AP and pre-IB preparatory classes.

The school takes pride in its course offerings and the talented professionals who prepare, design and deliver a rigorous and relevant curriculum. Recognized by Newsweek, NJ Monthly Magazine, The Washington Post and Niche.com as one of the best, Red Bank Regional continues to excel.
