Point Pleasant Beach School District (29-4220)

Point Pleasant Beach School District

The Point Pleasant Beach School District is one of the oldest and finest at the Shore. Our schools are rich in history and tradition. In addition to serving the students of Point Pleasant Beach and Mantoloking, the district serves high school-aged students of Bay Head and Lavallette. We also give a small population of private tuition students the opportunity to attend our schools.

The staff at the “Beach” strives to prepare all students to meet the challenges of today’s world and become productive global citizens. Our curricula are designed to meet, and in many cases exceed, the New Jersey Student Learning Standards and our personalized, supportive learning environment ensures each student can reach his or her academic potential. Graduates of Point Pleasant Beach High School are prepared to excel in college, a vocational program, the armed forces, or the workforce. Beach alumni have made substantive contributions to organizations and communities around the globe, and many remain involved in our educational programs and alumni activities throughout the district.

In addition to rigorous academics, the Point Pleasant Beach School District provides students with extra-curricular opportunities that belie our small size. Regardless of ability level, interest, or age all students are encouraged, and expected, to challenge themselves, enrich their learning, and support their school by becoming involved in at least one activities offered by their school. As a result, extra-curricular participation levels are very high.

Point Pleasant Beach Schools enjoy a long history of positive support from a community committed to the education of its children. The school district is fortunate to have the backing of a variety of volunteer groups, which include the G. Harold Antrim PTO, the Point Pleasant Beach High School PTO, the Booster Association, the Music Parents Association, and the Point Pleasant Beach Public Education Foundation. All of these volunteer groups work hard to generate additional revenue and to support the school district’s mission.

Grounded in tradition, yet intently focused on developing 21st century college and career readiness skills within our students, Point Pleasant Beach School District offers students a personalized learning environment that cultivates passionate, curious, and confident citizens. We commit ourselves daily to unearthing the intelligence and creativity existing in each one of our students, and in turn, our students love learning at the Beach! We encourage parents and community members to learn about our schools. Should you wish to visit our schools, please call our principals or me to make an appointment.
