West Milford Township Public School District

Dear Parents/Guardians:

The New Jersey School Report Card provides our stakeholders with critical data concerning the West Milford Township Public Schools. This information allows our educators to provide the services that are expected in this community.

The three district goals for the 2016-2017 school year are:

1. Improve academic performance through design and implementation of
differentiated instruction.
2. Develop and implement an effective and timely communication plan.
3. Develop respectful and sustainable partnerships through effective relationships
with parents, community, students and staff.

Our K-6 elementary schools offer a learning environment filled with rich experiences that develop the academic potential of all our children. Our middle school serves students in grades 7-8 and is recognized as a National School of Character. West Milford High School is a comprehensive 9-12 high school that has rigorous academic programs as well as numerous co-curricular activities ranging from athletics to the visual and performing arts.

In addition to many challenging and rigorous academic programs, our district is committed to educating the “whole child” with strong character education programs at all district schools and in all grade levels. During the 2016-2017 school year, all district schools have committed themselves to integrating the eleven Principles of Effective Character Education into their curricula. Moreover, all district schools will apply for recognition from the Schools of Character program.
