A Comprehensive Overview

The Union County Vocational-Technical Schools serve the Union County community at large by offering the following:

***A full-time, four-year, vocational-technical high school, UC Tech, grades 9 – 12. Career academies at UC Tech include the Academy for Clinical Care Sciences, the School of Design, the School of Sustainable Sciences, Exercise Physiology and Related Sciences, and the Teacher Education Academy. Additionally, students can also apply to be full time students at UC Tech with a technical concentration offered in Automotive Technology, Green Construction Technology, Cosmetology, or Culinary Arts. We are proud to be accepting applications for the Academy for Law & Justice, which will open in September of 2017.

***A full-time, four year, career academy, specializing in pre-engineering, the Magnet High School for Science, Mathematics and Technology, grades 9 – 12

***A full-time, four year, career academy, specializing in computer science, the Academy for Information Technology, grades 9 – 12

***A full-time, four year, career academy, specializing in healthcare careers, the Academy for Allied Health Sciences, grades 9 – 12

***A full-time, four year, career academy, specializing in performing arts (dance, theatre arts, and technical theatre), the Academy for Performing Arts, grades 9 – 12

***Over twenty occupational training programs (regular education and special education), offered to high school students on a shared-time basis, as well as a full-time transition program for students between the ages of 18 and 21, the Union County Career & Technical Institute

***A series of occupational training programs offered to post secondary students on a full-time basis

***An evening school that offers residents part-time continuing education vocational courses and apprenticeship opportunities
